Advanced Car Hauling Engineered for the EV Era
Transporting an electric vehicle requires a distinct set of operational rules compared to a standard gas-powered car. Due to their heavy, undercarriage-mounted lithium-ion battery packs, electric vehicles feature a much lower center of gravity and a significantly higher curb weight than traditional combustion vehicles. Managing these technical variations demands specialized trailer equipment, specific loading angles, and precise weight distribution planning across the carrier decks.

About
Specialized Equipment Staging for Modern Electric Vehicle Shipping
Our carrier network handles all major electric vehicle architectures, ensuring your vehicle is positioned safely to match its exact clearance and battery footprint:
Tesla Model S, 3, X, Y & Cybertruck: Low-clearance ramp extensions protect the aerodynamic undercarriages and lower valances of the world’s most popular EV fleet.
Ford F-150 Lightning & Chevy Silverado EV: Heavy-capacity deck positioning balances the massive curb weight and wide wheelbases of full-size electric trucks safely within standard highway weight limits.
Toyota & Honda Hybrid Fleets: Precision tie-down frameworks secure everyday hybrid crossovers and commuter models flat on our decks, preserving structural alignment throughout transit.
Uncompromised Safety and EV Transit Protocols
When shipping a battery-electric vehicle, security is our primary focus. We minimize risk by ensuring that all heavy electric models are loaded onto optimal structural tiers, preventing excessive weight strain on the trailer frames and eliminating vehicle shifting.
Every single EV shipment we manage is backed by our comprehensive fail-safe protection framework. This guarantees that your vehicle is fully covered against external hazards from the moment it climbs our loading ramps until it is delivered safely to your destination. By maintaining direct corporate accountability and eliminating multi-carrier handoffs, we protect your high-value asset from the logistical vulnerabilities common in open-market freight shipping.

Quick Guide: Preparing Your EV for Transport Transit
To ensure your electric vehicle is loaded quickly and efficiently on your scheduled pickup date, and to maintain strict adherence to federal highway weight safety metrics, please follow our three core vehicle preparation rules:
- The 250-Pound Cargo Ceiling: You are completely welcome to leave charging cables, home adapters, or personal luggage inside your vehicle during transit, provided the total cargo weight remains strictly under 250 pounds.
- Keep Items Placed Low: All personal items and charging gear must be stored securely inside the vehicle’s trunk or placed completely flat across the rear floorboards. The transport operator must have clear, unobstructed 360-degree visibility through all windows to safely maneuver your car onto the trailer.
- The Optimal Battery Charge Cap: Please deliver your EV to our loading driver with a battery charge level between 20% and 50%. This ensures sufficient power for loading and unloading operations while keeping the vehicle perfectly aligned with transit safety weight protocols.
Common Electric Vehicle Transport Inquiries
Do cold temperatures affect an electric vehicle’s battery during cross-country shipping?
While extreme cold can temporarily reduce an EV’s estimated range display, it does not harm the structural health of your battery while the vehicle is in transit on an open or enclosed carrier deck. Because the vehicle remains completely turned off during its journey, there is virtually zero phantom battery drain across long distances.
Can you ship an electric vehicle that has a completely dead battery?
We can absolutely transport non-running electric vehicles, provided they can still roll, steer, and brake safely. However, because an EV without power cannot be driven up the loading tracks, it requires a transport carrier equipped with a specialized winch system to safely pull the car onto the trailer bed. Please notify our team during booking if your vehicle is completely uncharged so we can deploy the proper equipment platform.
Is an enclosed carrier recommended for premium electric luxury cars?
While our open-air trailers are entirely secure and highly economical, an enclosed carrier is excellent for high-line electric models, premium sport EVs, or vehicles with custom matte finishes. Hard-sided enclosed trailers keep your vehicle completely isolated from highway road gravel, weather elements, and ambient dust throughout the entire route.
